Love Month: Day 2

Today I took half the day off at work so I could go to my asthma doctor.  I've really been struggling breathing, and I have found that doing the most random things cause me to be so short of breath.

I also took a half day yesterday for my birthday, which was nice.  I met Kyle for lunch, went shopping at Hobby Lobby, and went to my mom's for an early dinner.  Unfortunately, when I arrived at my parents house, Kohen was coughing so badly.  I gave him a quick breathing treatment and we headed to urgent care.  He tested negative for RSV, and following a chest X-ray we found out he did not have pneumonia.  We left with a new prescription for croup and were told to give him 2 breathing treatments daily.  (Like mother like son, I suppose!)

So, I am really loving a few things today!  First, that we have health insurance (Thank you Lord!).  It's so nice to know that we can seek medical treatment whenever we feel its necessary.  I think about so many people who live without insurance in this world or who don't have the adequate health care we have in the United States.

Secondly, I'm so loving the sunshine today.  Yesterday it rained almost all day!  Today, the sun is shining and it's about 65 degrees outside.  Such a beautiful day!  I'm tempted to take a walk and soak up some vitamin D!

You know what I've learned?  You can show love to others so easily by just listening to them.  Today, my co-workers were asking about my birthday so I spilled the beans on our trip to the doctor with Kohen.  It so nice to feel like people genuinely care about you, your family, and the things you are going through.  I'm one of those people who during the middle of a conversation will offer her two cents opinion on the topic at hand.  Anyone else?  Listening can be so gratifying when you are on the receiving end.  (Note to self:  Listen more often!)

I'll show some love today to my pets and take them on that walk!  It's just too beautiful not to!

Happy Thursday!

I hope you two get to feeling better soon!!
Love ya!

I began blogging several years ago in search of new friends who, like me, were having a difficult time getting pregnant. Five years, 2 miscarriages, 4 failed IUI's, and a doctor who told us "It will never happen" later, we are the proud parents of Kade and Kohen. They are each an example of God's absolute perfection. We thank God where medical intervention stops, Divine intervention begins.
